Frozen Berry Chia Jam

Frozen Berry Chia Jam: A Sweet, Healthy Delight

  • Author: basmer
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 1 cup 1x
  • Diet: Low Sugar

Description

This is a simple and delicious low-sugar spread made from frozen berries and chia seeds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups frozen mixed berries
  • 3 Tbsp chia seeds
  • ½ Tbsp honey or maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Add berries to a small pot on the stove. Turn the heat to medium and leave uncovered, but stay close to the stove.
  2. Let this cook, stirring occasionally, until berries look completely defrosted and soft. You want to keep going until they’ve released most of their liquid into the pot and the mix starts to look soupy.
  3. Remove from the heat and stir in chia seeds and honey. Let this cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then just serve or store!

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness to taste with honey or maple syrup.
