Description
Fresh Grinch Kabobs are a festive, healthy holiday snack made with fruit and marshmallows, perfect for kids and parties. Quick to assemble, these kabobs bring Christmas cheer and nostalgia to any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 24 seedless green grapes
- 12 medium strawberries, hulled and washed
- 1 large banana, sliced into 12 rounds (about 0.5 inch thick)
- 12 mini marshmallows (or substitute banana slices, apple chunks, vegan marshmallows, coconut cubes, or pineapple chunks)
- 12 toothpicks or mini skewers
Instructions
- Wash and dry the grapes and strawberries thoroughly. Hull the strawberries and slice the banana into 12 thick rounds (about 0.5 inch wide). Set aside 12 mini marshmallows.
- Lay out your cutting board, paring knife, toothpicks, and serving tray for assembly.
- Slide a green grape onto each toothpick or skewer as the Grinch’s body.
- Add a banana slice for the Grinch’s face.
- Place a hulled strawberry (pointy end up) onto the banana slice to form the Santa hat. If strawberries are large, cut them in half lengthwise.
- Top each kabob with a mini marshmallow as the hat’s pom-pom. If using banana slices instead, use a dab of honey to help it stick.
- Repeat the layering process for all kabobs (makes 12).
- Lay each kabob flat on the tray to check for stability and adjust fruit pieces as needed.
- Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate up to 4 hours. For longer storage, sprinkle banana slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.
