Description
This homemade fresh cranberry orange sauce is a delicious blend of tart cranberries and fragrant orange juice and zest. Perfect for adding a fresh twist to your holiday meals or everyday dishes.

- 1 (12 oz) bag fresh cranberries
- 1 orange (zested and juiced)
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- Optional: 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey for extra sweetness
Instructions
- Zest the orange peel using a zester or fine grater.
- Cut the orange in half and squeeze out the juice to make about 1/2 cup of juice.
- In a large pot, combine white sugar, brown sugar, and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the orange zest, orange juice, and cranberries to the pot. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. The cranberries will begin to pop open.
- Remove from heat and allow the sauce to cool completely before serving.
Notes
- This sauce can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more maple syrup or honey if desired.
