- 400g fettuccine pasta
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 clove garlic (optional), minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccine until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the heavy cream and stir to combine. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until fully melted. Add minced garlic if using.
- Add the cooked fettuccine to the sauce and toss to coat evenly. Use reserved pasta water to adjust consistency as needed.
- Season with salt and pepper. Serve immediately with more Parmesan and fresh parsley if desired.
