- 1/2 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and yeast. Add warm water and stir until a sticky, shaggy dough forms.
- Cover the bowl and let the dough rest at room temperature to rise and develop flavor.
- Place a Dutch oven with its lid into the oven and preheat until very hot.
- Turn dough onto a floured surface, gently shape into a round loaf, place into the hot Dutch oven, cover, and bake.
- Uncover and continue baking until the crust is deep golden brown.
- Remove bread and allow to cool slightly before slicing.
