- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Gel food coloring (pastel shades)
- Sprinkles

Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- Beat softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in egg and vanilla extract until smooth and fully incorporated.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix.
- Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness and cut into Easter shapes.
- Place on parchment-lined baking sheets and bake 8–10 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool completely.
- Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Divide and tint with gel food coloring.
- Spread or pipe icing onto cooled cookies. Add sprinkles while icing is wet.
- Allow icing to harden completely before stacking or packaging.
