Description
Dirty Martini Dip is a savory, creamy appetizer inspired by the classic cocktail. It combines feta, cream cheese, green olives, gin, and vermouth.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 oz. feta in brine, drained and cut into small pieces
- 2 Tbsp. thinly sliced chives
- 1 lemon (zest only)
- 1 package cream cheese, softened
- 2 Tbsp. gin
- 1 Tbsp. vermouth
- 1 1/2 tsp. za’atar
- 1/4 tsp. kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- 1 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for drizzling
- 1 cup torn pitted green olives, plus more for serving
- 2 Tbsp. finely chopped pimento peppers or roasted red peppers
- Crackers or crostini, for serving
Instructions
- In a food processor, pulse the drained feta, chives, and lemon zest until the feta is broken up into small crumbs, about 10 seconds.
- Add softened cream cheese, gin, vermouth, za’atar, salt, and pepper to the processor. Process until combined and smooth.
- With the motor running, drizzle in 1 Tbsp. olive oil and process until the mixture becomes smooth and fluffy.
- Transfer the feta mixture to a large bowl. Gently fold in the green olives and chopped pimento peppers.
- Serve the dip either in a large bowl or spoon into small martini glasses. Drizzle with more olive oil and top with extra za’atar and olives. Serve with crackers or crostini on the side.
