- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 8 ounces linguine pasta, cooked according to package instructions
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until they turn pink and opaque.
- Deglaze the pan with the white wine, scraping up any browned bits. Stir in the lemon juice and parsley.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and add the red pepper flakes if desired.
- Serve the shrimp scampi immediately over the cooked linguine.
