Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash cucumbers thoroughly and slice them into thin rounds.
  2. Peel the red onion and slice it as thinly as possible.
  3. Place the cucumber and onion slices in a large mixing bowl.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and sugar if using.
  5. Pour the dressing over the cucumber and onion mixture.
  6. Add fresh dill and toss everything gently until the vegetables are evenly coated.
  7. Cover the bowl and let the salad rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed before serving.
