Description

Crispy Jalapeno Popper Cups with Bacon and Cheese are bite-sized treats made with wonton wrappers filled with a creamy, cheesy, and smoky mixture.


Ingredients

  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked until crispy and chopped
  • 4 medium jalapeño peppers, seeded and finely diced
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup green onions, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt & black pepper to taste (about 1/4 tsp each)
  • Extra chopped bacon (for garnish, optional)
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
  • Additional diced jalapeños (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spray a 24-cup mini muffin pan lightly with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Cook bacon slices in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Drain on paper towels and chop finely.
  3. In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, diced jalapeños, chopped bacon, sliced green onions, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and salt & pepper. Stir until well-blended and creamy.
  4. Gently press one wonton wrapper into each muffin cup, forming a shell. Spray the tops lightly with cooking spray.
  5. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the cheese filling into each wonton cup and smooth out the top.
  6. Bake for 13–15 minutes, until wonton edges are golden and crispy and filling is bubbling.
  7. Let cups cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Run a small knife around the edge to pop them out.
  8. Top with extra bacon, diced jalapeños, or fresh cilantro if desired. Serve hot.
