Description
Crispy Jalapeno Popper Cups with Bacon and Cheese are bite-sized treats made with wonton wrappers filled with a creamy, cheesy, and smoky mixture.

- 24 wonton wrappers
- Nonstick cooking spray
- 6 slices bacon, cooked until crispy and chopped
- 4 medium jalapeño peppers, seeded and finely diced
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup green onions, thinly sliced (optional)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
- Salt & black pepper to taste (about 1/4 tsp each)
- Extra chopped bacon (for garnish, optional)
- Fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
- Additional diced jalapeños (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spray a 24-cup mini muffin pan lightly with nonstick cooking spray.
- Cook bacon slices in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Drain on paper towels and chop finely.
- In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, diced jalapeños, chopped bacon, sliced green onions, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and salt & pepper. Stir until well-blended and creamy.
- Gently press one wonton wrapper into each muffin cup, forming a shell. Spray the tops lightly with cooking spray.
- Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the cheese filling into each wonton cup and smooth out the top.
- Bake for 13–15 minutes, until wonton edges are golden and crispy and filling is bubbling.
- Let cups cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Run a small knife around the edge to pop them out.
- Top with extra bacon, diced jalapeños, or fresh cilantro if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
- These popper cups are great for parties.
- Adjust the level of jalapeño for desired spiciness.
