- For the Hot Honey Feta Topping:
- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/4 cup hot honey (or regular honey mixed with red pepper flakes)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Fresh herbs (such as parsley or dill for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- In three separate shallow dishes, place the flour in one, the beaten eggs in another, and the breadcrumbs in the third.
- Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off the excess, then dip it in the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Transfer the cooked chicken to a baking dish.
- In a bowl, combine the crumbled feta cheese, hot honey, olive oil, and lemon juice. Mix until well combined.
- Spoon the feta mixture generously over each piece of chicken.
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the feta is warmed through and slightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh herbs. Serve hot with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.
