A delicious recipe for crispy buffalo tofu wings that mimic the texture of traditional chicken wings.
Ingredients

- 2 blocks (14 oz each) extra-firm tofu
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup Buffalo hot sauce (Frank’s RedHot)
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon honey or agave nectar
- Celery sticks, carrot sticks, and ranch or blue cheese dressing.
Instructions
- Place the extra-firm tofu in the freezer in its original packaging for at least 24 hours before you plan to cook.
- Wrap the thawed tofu in a clean towel and press it under a heavy skillet for 20 minutes to remove all moisture.
- Tear the block into irregular, bite-sized chunks.
- Toss the torn tofu pieces into a mixture of cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Arrange the tofu in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet and drizzle with vegetable oil. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for about 25 to 30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- While the tofu bakes, combine the Buffalo hot sauce, melted butter, and honey in a small bowl.
- Put the hot, baked tofu into a large bowl and pour the buffalo glaze over the top. Toss them quickly and serve immediately.
- Plate the buffalo tofu wings alongside cold celery and carrot sticks.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, bake tofu longer if needed.
- Adjust the spiciness by varying the amount of hot sauce.
