Instructions

  1. Make the Dough: Combine dry ingredients (flour, sugar, yeast, salt, cinnamon) in a large bowl. Mix wet ingredients (warm milk, melted butter, eggs, vanilla) in a separate bowl. Pour wet into dry ingredients and stir until dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  2. First Rise: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  3. Prepare the Cranberry Filling: In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, orange zest, cornstarch, and water. Cook for 5-7 minutes until cranberries burst and mixture thickens. Remove from heat and let cool.
