Condensed Milk Bread Pudding: An Incredible 7-Step Recipe

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 slices of day-old bread (white, brioche, or challah)
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup raisins or chocolate chips (optional)
  • Butter, for greasing the baking dish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Tear the bread into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, whole milk, eggs, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet mixture over the torn bread, gently stirring to ensure all pieces are soaked.
  5. If using, fold in the raisins or chocolate chips for added flavor.
  6. Pour the bread mixture into the greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
