Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Carefully separate the egg whites from the yolks. Place the whites in a clean, dry bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, blend the egg yolks with softened cream cheese, salt, and sugar if using. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add cream of tartar to the egg whites. Beat with a mixer until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the egg yolk mixture into the whipped egg whites.
  6. Spoon the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, forming small round mounds.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the tops are lightly golden.
  8. Allow the bread to cool for a few minutes before removing from the tray.
