- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp milk (as needed for consistency)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and cinnamon until combined.
- In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients; stir gently until just mixed.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon together until evenly blended.
- Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon filling over it.
- Add the remaining batter on top and sprinkle with the rest of the cinnamon mixture. Swirl lightly with a knife.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- In a small bowl, beat together softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add milk as needed for desired consistency.
- Drizzle over warm cake before serving.
