Description

This festive Christmas slice is a no-bake treat combining a rich cocoa and butter biscuit base with a smooth white chocolate peppermint topping.


Ingredients

  • 250g butter
  • ¼ cup cocoa
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 packets (250g each) Marie or wine biscuits, crushed
  • 190g white chocolate
  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp peppermint essence
  • 100g Christmas M&Ms
  • 4 candy canes, crushed

Instructions

  1. Line a slice tin approximately 19 x 29 cm with baking paper.
  2. Melt the butter, cocoa, and brown sugar in a saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and milk.
  4. Combine the crushed biscuits with the chocolate mixture in a large mixing bowl.
  5. Transfer the mixture into the lined slice tin and press down firmly.
  6. Microwave white chocolate, vegetable oil, and peppermint essence in a glass bowl until melted.
  7. Pour the melted mixture over the biscuit base and spread evenly.
  8. Sprinkle crushed candy canes and Christmas M&Ms on top.
  9. Chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours until firm.
  10. Take the slice out 20 minutes before slicing.
