- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups (312g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil or vegetable oil
- Sprinkles
- Crushed freeze-dried strawberries
- Colored sugar or edible glitter
- White chocolate drizzle
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla and mix well.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt, then mix into dough until combined.
- Wrap dough in plastic and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness and cut heart shapes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool completely.
- Microwave chocolate and oil in short intervals until smooth.
- Dip half of each cookie into chocolate and decorate if desired.
- Let chocolate set completely before serving or storing.
