Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless chicken thighs
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • to taste Pita bread or wraps
  • to taste Sliced vegetables (tomato, cucumber, onion)
  • to taste Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, turmeric, salt, pepper, olive oil, plain yogurt, and lemon juice. Stir until well mixed.
  2. Add chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are thoroughly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook the marinated chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked and charred.
  5. Remove chicken from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing into strips.
  6. Lay sliced chicken in pita bread or wraps.
  7. Top with sliced vegetables and drizzle with garlic sauce before serving.
