Delicious Chicken Kofta with Garlic Yogurt Sauce You’ll Love

- 1 pound Ground Chicken (Can substitute with ground turkey.)
- 1 medium Onion (Finely chopped.)
- 3 cloves Garlic (Minced.)
- 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley (Chopped, can substitute with cilantro.)
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin (Key spice for flavor.)
- 1 teaspoon Ground Coriander (Complements cumin.)
- 1 teaspoon Salt (To taste.)
- 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper (To taste.)
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil (For grilling.)
- 1 cup Plain Yogurt (Can substitute with coconut yogurt.)
- 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice (Fresh is best.)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, fresh parsley, ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Wet your hands and shape the mixture into oval kofta, about the size of your palm, making 10-12 pieces. Place on a tray.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (200°C/400°F) and lightly oil the grate.
- Place the shaped kofta on the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and reaching an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).
- In a separate bowl, mix the plain yogurt with fresh lemon juice and a sprinkle of salt until smooth.
- Serve the grilled kofta on a plate, drizzled with the garlic yogurt sauce or on the side.
