- 1 cup Butter (Unsalted, softened)
- 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 3/4 cup Brown Sugar (Light or dark)
- 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 large Eggs (Room temperature)
- 1 large Egg Yolk
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 2 cups Flour (All-purpose)
- 1 cup Oreo Chunks (Chopped varied sizes)
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips (Semisweet or milk)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract using an electric mixer. Mix for 2-3 minutes until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Crack in the eggs and the extra egg yolk, mixing until everything is well combined.
- Gradually incorporate the all-purpose flour and baking soda on low speed to prevent flour flying everywhere.
- Gently fold in the Oreo chunks and chocolate chips using a spatula.
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Using a tablespoon, scoop portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 11-12 minutes until the edges are golden and the centers look slightly undercooked.
- As soon as they come out of the oven, top each cookie with extra chocolate chips and Oreo pieces.
- Let them cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
