Description
This fun and easy way of making garlic bread with flour tortillas is a game changer. Simply fold, stuff with cheese, drench in seasoned olive oil, and bake until crispy.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 flour tortillas (soft taco size)
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella
- ½ cup olive oil
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1–2 tbsps grated parmesan (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400° F and dig out an 8×8 baking dish from your cabinets.
- Fold each tortilla back and forth like an accordion and then place them into your dish stacked snuggly together.
- Stuff the folds evenly with about 1 ½ cups of shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Whisk or use an immersion blender to combine ½ cup of olive oil with your seasonings (½ tsp salt, pepper, and garlic powder plus 1 tsp of Italian seasoning).
- Spoon the mixture evenly over the top of the tortillas and in-between the folds. Use your spoon to stir the mixture regularly as the seasonings tend to settle to the bottom.
- Sprinkle the top with parmesan cheese and cover the dish with foil.
- Bake for 10 minutes and then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
