Description

This fun and easy way of making garlic bread with flour tortillas is a game changer. Simply fold, stuff with cheese, drench in seasoned olive oil, and bake until crispy.


Ingredients

  • 8 flour tortillas (soft taco size)
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 12 tbsps grated parmesan (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400° F and dig out an 8×8 baking dish from your cabinets.
  2. Fold each tortilla back and forth like an accordion and then place them into your dish stacked snuggly together.
  3. Stuff the folds evenly with about 1 ½ cups of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  4. Whisk or use an immersion blender to combine ½ cup of olive oil with your seasonings (½ tsp salt, pepper, and garlic powder plus 1 tsp of Italian seasoning).
  5. Spoon the mixture evenly over the top of the tortillas and in-between the folds. Use your spoon to stir the mixture regularly as the seasonings tend to settle to the bottom.
  6. Sprinkle the top with parmesan cheese and cover the dish with foil.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes and then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
