Description
This Cheesy Sloppy Cheeseburger Pasta is a delicious, comforting one-pot meal that combines the classic flavors of a sloppy joe with creamy, cheesy pasta.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni or small pasta
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup mozzarella cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Chopped pickles or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet or deep sauté pan over medium heat, cook the ground beef and finely chopped onion until browned and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Make sure to break up the beef while cooking. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute to release its aroma but avoid burning.
- Add ketchup, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, and beef broth to the skillet. Stir everything together and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in the uncooked elbow macaroni, reduce the heat to low, cover the pan with a lid, and let simmer for 12–15 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking and cook until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
- Remove the skillet from heat. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese and mozzarella (if using) until melted and the sauce becomes creamy. Adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper to your taste.
- Serve the cheesy sloppy cheeseburger pasta warm, garnished with chopped pickles or parsley if desired.
