Cheeseburger Pie is a savory dish that combines the classic flavors of a cheeseburger in a delicious pie format.

- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup pickles, chopped (optional)
- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper. If using, add the chopped pickles. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Roll out the pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish, pressing it into the bottom and up the sides. Trim any excess crust.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly over the bottom of the pie crust.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef filling.
- Carefully pour the egg mixture over the top of the cheese and beef.
- Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the custard is set and the top is golden brown.
- Allow the pie to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- For a spicier version, add jalapeños to the beef mixture.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
