Description

Cheese-Stuffed Meatloaf with gooey mozzarella or cheddar in every slice.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1½ cups shredded or block mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, onion, garlic, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper. Mix just until combined.
  3. On the lined sheet, form half the meat mixture into a loaf shape. Press a trench into the center and fill it with cheese. Cover with the remaining meat and seal edges to fully enclose the cheese.
  4. Stir together glaze ingredients and spread over the top.
  5. Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
