- 2.5 cups all-purpose flour or whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 16 oz cottage cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 eggs, whisked
- 6 oz ham or turkey, diced
- 1/3 cup chives, finely chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Lightly dust the parchment paper with flour to prevent sticking.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, onion powder, garlic powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In a separate medium bowl, combine the cottage cheese, shredded cheddar, whisked eggs, diced ham or turkey, and chopped chives. Stir thoroughly.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Mix until the dough starts to come together, then knead briefly to form a large dough ball.
- Place the dough ball onto the prepared baking sheet. Flatten it into a roughly 7 by 10 inch rectangle.
- Cut the dough into 12 equal-sized biscuits. Space them evenly on the baking sheet.
- Bake the biscuits for 22 to 25 minutes until the tops are lightly golden and the bottoms are a deep golden brown.
- Remove the biscuits from the oven and allow them to cool slightly on the baking sheet. Serve warm.
