Description

This tasty baked chicken recipe is so good. Everything from the cheese to the cornflakes, breadcrumbs, and garlic offer so much wonderful flavor.


Ingredients

  • ½ C. Breadcrumbs
  • 6 Boneless skinless chicken breasts all roughly the same size
  • 1 Tbsp. Milk
  • 1 C. Cheddar cheese shredded
  • ¼ C. Butter divided
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 tsp. Garlic powder
  • 1 C. Flour
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 C. Corn flakes crushed into crumbs
  • 1 tsp. Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter, and use it to grease a 9×13 casserole dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the milk and eggs well.
  4. In a separate shallow bowl or plate, mix together the breadcrumbs, garlic powder, flour, corn flakes and salt and pepper until well combined.
  5. Dip the chicken into the egg mixture first, and then coat in the crumb mixture.
  6. Place into the prepared casserole dish and top with pieces of the remaining butter.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
