Instructions
- Activate the Yeast: In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- Make the Dough: Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until a sticky dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Let It Rise: Place the dough in an oiled bowl and cover with a towel. Let it rise in a warm place for about an hour or until doubled in size.
- Shape the Breadsticks: Punch down the dough and roll it into strips about half an inch thick. Place them on a greased baking sheet with space between each stick.
