Description
Delicious Buffalo Chicken Wonton Cups
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups Cooked Shredded Chicken
- 1/2 cup Buffalo Sauce
- 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 4 oz Cream Cheese
- 24 pieces Wonton Wrappers
- 1/4 cup Green Onions
- 1 can Cooking Spray
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) while you prepare the filling, greasing a muffin tin to prevent sticking.
- Mix Filling: In a large bowl, combine cooked shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, cream cheese, and half of the cheddar cheese. Stir until everything is well mixed and creamy.
- Prepare Wonton Wrappers: Place a wonton wrapper in each muffin cup, gently pressing it down to form a little cup shape that will hold the filling.
- Fill Cups: Spoon the chicken mixture into each wonton cup, filling them almost to the top. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the filling for extra cheesy goodness.
- Bake: Carefully place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. Keep an eye out for golden brown edges and bubbly cheese!
- Cool and Garnish: Once baked, allow the cups to cool slightly. Garnish with freshly sliced green onions before serving to add a pop of color.
Notes
- Substitute with rotisserie chicken for a quicker option.
- Adjust heat level based on preference.
- Try Gouda or Monterey Jack for a twist.
- Greek yogurt can lighten up filling if desired.
- Consider using phyllo dough for a flakier alternative.
- Chives can be used for a milder taste.
- Vegetable oil can be used for greasing instead.
