- 1 small green cabbage, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 cup white rice, uncooked
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in chopped onion and garlic, cooking until softened and fragrant.
- In a baking dish, spread half of the chopped cabbage. Layer the beef mixture on top.
- Sprinkle uncooked white rice over the beef. Then pour diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth evenly over the top. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Top with remaining cabbage. Cover tightly with foil and bake at 350°F for about 75 minutes, until rice is cooked and cabbage is tender. Let it rest before serving.
