Description
Easy Bubba’s Crab Stew is a rich, creamy Southern seafood classic made with butter, milk, cream, and sweet lump crab meat.

- 1 lb lump crab meat, picked over for shells
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup corn kernels
- 1 small potato, finely diced and cooked
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Melt butter in a pot over medium heat. Add onion and cook 3–4 minutes until soft. Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Reduce heat to low and slowly stir in milk and heavy cream. Warm gently without boiling.
- Add paprika, cayenne (if using), salt, and black pepper. Stir well and adjust seasoning to taste.
- Gently fold in crab meat. Add corn or potatoes if using.
- Simmer on low heat for 10–12 minutes until heated through and slightly thickened. Do not boil.
- Remove from heat, garnish with parsley, and serve immediately.
