Instructions
- Preheat your oven or grill.
- Slice the baguette or rustic bread into 1/2-inch thick slices.

- In a bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped basil, minced garlic, and remaining olive oil.
- Season the tomato mixture with salt and black pepper to taste.
- If using, stir in the balsamic vinegar.
- Spoon the tomato mixture generously onto the toasted bread slices.
- Serve immediately as a delicious Italian appetizer.
