Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz Boursin Cheese
- 2 cups Chopped De-seeded Tomatoes
- 1/2 cup Fresh Basil Leaves
- 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 2 tbsp Balsamic Reduction
- 1 box Crackers or Crostini
Instructions
- Soften Boursin: Allow the Boursin cheese to sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes for easier spreading.
- Mix Bruschetta Topping: In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped de-seeded tomatoes, fresh basil, extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Prepare Serving Dish: Spread the softened Boursin cheese evenly in an 8-9″ shallow serving dish as a delicious foundation.
- Layer the Topping: Spoon the bruschetta mixture over the Boursin cheese, discarding excess juices from the bowl.
- Finish and Garnish: Drizzle balsamic reduction over the dip and add extra basil leaves for presentation. Serve with crackers or crostini.
Notes
- Use garlic and herb cream cheese as a substitute for Boursin if desired.
- Vine-ripened tomatoes provide optimal taste.
- Parsley or oregano can replace basil in a pinch.
- Red wine vinegar can be used instead of balsamic vinegar.
- Garlic powder serves as a substitute for fresh garlic.
