Description

Biscoff Burnt Basque Cheesecake: A Decadent Delight

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese: Softened.
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar: For sweetness.
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar: For a hint of caramel flavor.
  • 3 large eggs: For structure.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract: For flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream: For creaminess.
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour: For stability.
  • 1 teaspoon salt: To enhance flavor.
  • 1 cup Biscoff cookie spread: For flavor and richness.
  • 1/2 cup crushed Biscoff cookies: For added texture and flavor.
  • Whole Biscoff cookies: For topping (optional).
  • Whipped cream: For serving (optional).

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper, allowing the paper to hang over the edges for easy removal.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar, and mix until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, add the vanilla extract and heavy cream, mixing until smooth.
  5. Sift in the flour and salt, and gently fold into the batter until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the Biscoff cookie spread until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  7. Stir in the crushed Biscoff cookies for added texture.
  8. Pour the cheesecake batter into the prepared springform pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-50 minutes, or until the top is deeply golden brown and the center is slightly jiggly.
  10. Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 1 hour at room temperature.
  11. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
  12. Carefully remove the cheesecake from the springform pan by lifting the parchment paper.
  13. Top with whole Biscoff cookies and serve with whipped cream if desired.
