- 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- If using whole peeled tomatoes, crush by hand or pulse briefly in a blender. Crushed tomatoes can be used directly.
- In a mixing bowl, add tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, garlic powder, onion powder, sugar (if using), olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Stir until fully combined and smooth.
- Taste and adjust salt, herbs, or sweetness as needed.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes for best flavor development.
