Description
Banana Bread Brownies combine the rich, moist texture of banana bread with the soft, sliceable shape of brownies. Made with ripe bananas and topped with a silky sweet glaze, these bars are ultra tender and perfect for any occasion.

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in eggs one at a time. Add sour cream, vanilla, and mashed bananas. Blend until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
- Spread batter evenly into prepared pan. Bake 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Remove from heat and whisk in powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
- Pour glaze over warm brownies and spread evenly.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
