Deliciously moist Banana Bread Brownies combining the flavors of banana bread and brownies, topped with a creamy frosting.
Ingredients

- 200 g granulated sugar
- 240 ml sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
- 113 g unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 250 g all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 60 g chopped walnuts (optional)
- 113 g unsalted butter (for frosting)
- 480 g powdered sugar
- 1½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract (for frosting)
- 3 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix sugar, sour cream, and butter until smooth.
- Add eggs, bananas, and vanilla; mix well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
- Add walnuts if using.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Let cool, then prepare frosting by creaming butter, adding powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until spreadable.
- Frost cooled brownies and slice.
