  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can (20 oz) pineapple rings, drained
  • 2 cups fresh or maraschino cherries
  • Toothpicks for securing fruit

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Rinse the ham under cold water and pat dry. Score the ham if not pre-scored.
  2. Place the ham cut-side down in a large roasting pan. Pour pineapple juice and water into the pan. Cover tightly with aluminum foil.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, cloves, and black pepper until smooth.
  4. Bake the covered ham for 1 hour and 45 minutes. The internal temperature should reach 120°F (49°C).
  5. Remove the ham from the oven and brush half of the glaze over the surface. Arrange pineapple rings and cherries on top.
  6. Return the ham to the oven uncovered, and bake for another 30-45 minutes, brushing with remaining glaze every 15 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes before carving.
