Description
Baked German Pancake, also known as a Dutch baby, is light, puffy, and beautifully golden with crisp edges and a soft, custardy center.
Ingredients

- 3 large eggs, room temperature
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Powdered sugar
- Fresh fruit
- Fruit compote or preserves
- Yogurt
- Honey or maple-style syrup
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Place butter in a 10-inch oven-safe skillet and heat in the oven until melted.
- Blend or whisk eggs, flour, milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla until smooth and slightly frothy.
- Carefully remove skillet, swirl butter to coat, pour batter into hot pan, and return to oven. Bake 18–22 minutes until puffed and golden.
- Remove from oven and serve immediately with desired toppings.
