Creamy Baked Cream Cheese Spaghetti Casserole Bliss
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz Spaghetti (or substitute with penne, rotini, or zucchini noodles)
- 8 oz Cream Cheese (full-fat recommended for best melting quality)
- 24 oz Marinara Sauce (use extra for freezing compatibility)
- 1 lb Ground Meat (such as beef or turkey; can replace with lentils or mushrooms)
- 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese (shredded)
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil (to prevent pasta from sticking)
- 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese (grated)
- to taste Fresh Herbs (such as basil or oregano)
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and toss with olive oil to prevent sticking and enhance flavor. Set aside for layering later.
- In a skillet, combine marinara sauce and your choice of cooked ground meat. Let it simmer over medium heat for 8-10 minutes to blend flavors.
- In a separate bowl, blend softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Fold in the cooked spaghetti until well-coated.
- In a greased baking dish, layer the creamy spaghetti mixture. Pour the marinara sauce over it, then top with shredded mozzarella.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until bubbling and golden brown.
- Allow the casserole to rest for 5-10 minutes after baking before serving.
