  • Author: basmer
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

This Baked Brie with Honey and Nuts recipe offers an elegant yet simple appetizer. Creamy brie cheese is baked until warm and melty, then topped with a drizzle of sweet honey and a crunchy mix of toasted nuts. It’s a perfect sweet and savory dish for any occasion, ready in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 whole brie wheel (about 200–250g)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (plus extra for drizzling)
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (or a mix of pecans and almonds)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for toasting nuts)
  • Fresh thyme leaves (optional, for garnish)
  • Crackers, crostini, or apple slices (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a small baking dish or sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Toast the nuts: In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped nuts and toast for 2–3 minutes until golden and fragrant. Remove from heat.
  3. Assemble the brie: Place brie in the baking dish. Drizzle with half the honey and top with the toasted nuts.
  4. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the brie is soft and slightly puffy, but not fully melted.
  5. Finish and serve: Drizzle with the remaining honey, garnish with thyme if desired, and serve warm with crackers, crostini, or apple slices.

Notes

  • Bake only until the brie is soft and gooey, not runny.
  • Using high-quality honey, such as floral or citrus varieties, can add depth.
  • You can prepare the brie and toppings ahead of time, but bake just before serving for the best texture.
  • Store leftovers tightly wrapped in foil or an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in a 300°F (150°C) oven for 8–10 minutes.
