Ingredients
- For the Fritters:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder

- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, toss the diced apples with lemon juice, cinnamon, and a sprinkle of sugar (optional). Set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and granulated sugar until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Gently fold in the diced apples until evenly distributed.
- Using a large spoon or cookie scoop, drop heaping tablespoons of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the fritters are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- While the fritters are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth. Adjust the milk quantity to achieve your desired glaze consistency.
- Once the fritters are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Drizzle the glaze over the warm fritters.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
