Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and unsalted butter.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture comes to a rolling boil. Allow it to boil for 1-2 minutes without stirring.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat.
  4. Stir in the peanut butter, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  5. Add the quick oats and chopped nuts, mixing well to combine.
  6. Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. You can shape them into rounds or leave them as mounds.
