Description

Avocado Tzatziki is a creamy, refreshing twist on the classic Greek dip. Made with ripe avocado, tangy Greek yogurt, crisp cucumber, fresh dill, and bright lemon juice.


Ingredients

  • 1 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt (or dairy-free alternative)
  • ½ cup grated cucumber (excess moisture squeezed out)
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill (or mint)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: pinch of ground cumin or crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Grate the cucumber using a box grater. Place in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out excess moisture to prevent a watery dip.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the avocado with a fork until smooth, or blend in a food processor for a silkier texture.
  3. Add Greek yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, dill, garlic, salt, and pepper to the mashed avocado. Stir until well combined.
  4. Gently mix in the grated cucumber for added texture.
  5. Taste and adjust with more lemon juice, herbs, or seasoning as needed.
  6. Refrigerate for 15–20 minutes before serving. Garnish with a drizzle of olive oil and fresh dill if desired.
