- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 ripe avocado, sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 slices of bread (your choice)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped cilantro or green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken with BBQ sauce until well-coated.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter, allowing it to melt.
- On one slice of bread, layer BBQ chicken, avocado slices, and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Place a second slice of bread on top to complete the sandwich.
- Carefully place the sandwich in the heated skillet. Grill for about 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown.
- Add another tablespoon of butter to the skillet, then flip the sandwich and grill the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and both sides are golden.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste while grilling.
- Once cooked, remove the sandwich from the skillet and let it cool for a minute. Slice in half to reveal the gooey goodness inside.
- If desired, sprinkle with chopped cilantro or green onions for added flavor.
- If you’re making multiple sandwiches, repeat the process for the remaining ingredients.
