Ingredients

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Optional: fresh herbs (parsley or rosemary)
- Optional: minced garlic
- Optional: olive oil for brushing
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled.
- Divide dough into portions and roll into flat shapes.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil grates.
- Grill flatbreads for 2–3 minutes per side until lightly charred.
- Remove and brush with olive oil or add toppings if desired.
- Serve warm.
