- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 ½ tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 4 medium apples (peeled and sliced into thin slices)
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 refrigerated pie crust
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 tablespoons raw sugar (or demara sugar)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400℉.
- Line the baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll the pie crust out on top of the parchment paper.
- Peel and slice the apples into thin slices.
- Add the sliced apples and lemon juice to a large bowl. Toss to combine, then add the brown sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon.
- Stir to combine until there are no dry spots.
- Arrange the apples in the center of the pie crust, leaving about 2 inches as a border.
- Fold the crust over the apples, brush it with melted butter, and sprinkle raw sugar on top.
- Bake for 37-44 minutes, or until golden brown and the apples are bubbly.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or homemade whipped cream.
