- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic and onion seasoning
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 3/4 cup panko bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons dry ranch dressing mix
- 8 ounces portobello mushroom caps, cleaned
- Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
- Prepare Breading Stations: In one bowl, combine flour and garlic & onion seasoning. In a second bowl, pour milk. In a third bowl, mix panko bread crumbs with dry ranch dressing mix.
- Bread Mushrooms: Dip each mushroom cap first in the flour mixture, then in the milk, and finally coat thoroughly with the panko bread crumb mixture. Ensure a full, even coating.
- Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray.
- Air Fry Mushrooms: Arrange the breaded mushrooms in a single layer in the preheated air fryer basket, ensuring not to overcrowd. Lightly spray the tops of the mushrooms with cooking spray. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until golden brown and crispy. Cook in batches if necessary.
- Serve: Remove from air fryer and serve immediately, optionally with additional ranch dressing for dipping.
